LIVING Kidney DONOR NEEDED

Kidney disease.....my love affair

Hi, my name is Jessica Williams and I need a kidney.

As a child, I was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes, which caused my kidney disease as I got older. This paired with high blood pressure led me to kidney disease. Having kidney disease has definitely impacted my life in ways you couldn't imagine. Being sick all the time is not fun.
I am asking you to help save my life by being a living donor.

In 2011, I was diagnosed with end stage renal failure. Within 6 months, I received a kidney/pancreas transplant in Wisconsin. However, 8 years later, my kidney rejected, and I was back on dialysis. May 2021, I ended up in ICU due to my pancreas rejecting.
I have dialysis 4 days a week for 2 1/2 hours. I have to stick myself with two needles and live on a machine.

Being on dialysis, makes it hard to live a normal life. Traveling is hard. I have to carry a heavy machine with me and have medical supplies shipped. My energy lower can be very low at times. I have several medical appointments and do blood work frequently. I have a lot of dietarian restrictions, which makes it hard to enjoy the food I love.

A transplant would mean a sense of normalcy. It would mean freedom. I could return to being a contributing adult in society. I had to resign my position working in foster care for 13 years re due to my health and my dialysis schedule.

I am asking you to help save my life. Please consider being a living kidney donor or by sharing my story. Any questions or to be considered, please call 314-362-5365
