I am a 71 yr male with severe kidney failure. I have been on diallyis for almost 3 years which severely curbs what you can do. At I times when I leave diallyis I get so sick with dry heaves and so dizzy I cant walk. Having kidney failure along with diabetes neuropathy high blood pressure it has got to the point I can do very little. The complications of kidney failure are not only physical it is mental. I know people will say .well I have to work 5 days a week and you only go 3. That is true but you get vacation and witj this there is no vacation, even if I go somewhere I still have to make arrangements to have diallyis. The worst part is my wife has to be caretaker. That means 3 timrs a week she has get up at 5am drive to diallyis and 4 1/2 hours come back. We are retired and would love to travel but this makes it very hard to do.We to go and stop each night somewhere every night with dialysis thst is nesrly impossible.I would like to go to Florda and see family in different places but them I have line up diallyis. Since getting this dreaded kidney failure I have had yo givr up a lot of things.mainly I have had to give up my love of music as I no longer have the strength to play the mental concentration ,aiso I can no longer drive as I get to dizzy and am afraid I will have a wreck.
I to loke I am feeling sorry for myself I just want live a few more years and enjoy life.I would like to give my wife a break as I can see it taking a toll on her.I could go on and on but I wont All I really want is a kidney transplant. Thank you got time and God bless ya all!!
