Diane and I have been married 46 years and our love continues to grow, even during this challenging time of her dialysis 3 times a week and waiting for kidney. I asked Diane to marry me two weeks after meeting, because she is so special. She supported me though 22 years of active duty in the Navy and the hardships she faced as a military wife and mother. She is a strong, beautiful, loving and caring person.
Prior to her kidney failure we traveled to see family members and friends more often and Diane enjoyed going to craft fairs or other points of interest. Being on dialysis and waiting for a kidney has really hindered her enjoyment to get out and enjoy the world more. She dreams of all the things she still wants to do once she gets a kidney.
I am looking for support in finding Diane a living donor because I don’t meet the Medical requirements to be a living donor. Even if you don’t feel comfortable being a donor, maybe someone you know is, if they are given a chance and the knowledge. Organ donation is something most don’t relate to until it hits close to home or you have a chance to be educated. I hope you take time to become more educated. I found out how important it is for those in need and I am now a donor should I pass. There are many wonderful people waiting for organs and to few willing to give when a live or if they pass away. Please help pass the word to help Diane find a living donor. Thanks
