My name is Nick and unfortunately I was born with one kidney. Six years ago they found a mass that the doctor thought was cancerous on my kidney. During surgery to remove the mass due to complications they had to remove my kidney. That left me now on dialysis and in search of a kidney.
Since being on dialysis I have had 3 heart attaches and a stroke. I almost died when a hematoma on my port for dialysis ruptured. Dialysis has made life for me and my family hard and stressful.
I doubt if I can get you 200 words but to have a kidney again will give me freedom to me I'm trapped in this dialysis thing 3 days a week to me I can't enjoy the places I would like to go yes they have equipment that I can use nowadays but it's still not the same for me to sum it all up freedom in one word
Due to other complications I can only receive a kidney from a living donor. If you are not a match donor for me there are swap programs to get me the kidney I need through your donation. I encourage everyone to think about being an organ donor.
