Living Kidney Donor Needed

Dear Family, Friends, and Kind Strangers,

My name is Leonard and I’m writing today because I need your help. I have been living with kidney disease since early 2024. Unfortunately, over time my kidney disease has continued to progress to the extent that a I will need a kidney transplant. My doctors have told me that a kidney transplant from a living donor offers me the best chance at a healthier future.

I have been on dialysis for over 2 years. With the help from my family as well as my incredible Goddaughter who have given me strength and support, I have gone from being in a wheelchair to walking again, driving again, as well as attending my dialysis treatments 3 times a week without missing any appointments.

Some days are hard because you are on the machine for 4 hours and look at your life flashing before your eyes, but your focus is on getting that second chance to live the rest of your life with family and friends that have been there for me through this journey! Asking for help isn’t easy, but I’m holding on to hope and reaching out in the belief that someone out there may be able to make a life-changing difference.

A living donor can make an incredible difference—not only by giving someone a healthier future but by giving them more time with the people they love. Even if donating isn’t right for you, sharing this message could help it reach the one person who is a match. Every share, every conversation, every word of encouragement matters more than you know.
