My name is chrissy,I am currently 46 years old, married for 25 years ,have a 19 year old son who is currently in the army! I was diagnosed with stage 5 / end stage renal failure in August 1st of 2017!
Having kidney disease has definitely changed everything about my life ,from every aspect of it! From the very small things to important parts of my life and my families lives as well! It has been an adjustment that I thought I would never be able to get through, but amazingly to my surprise I am doing it better than I gave myself credit for!
A transplant would mean NO MORE DIALYSIS!!! It has been almost 4 years now hooked to a machine 8 hours a night! Even though it has become a daily habit, it still sucks having to do it! It seems a little silly to say this, but I miss the little thing s ,like falling asleep on the sofa watching the TV, or being able to go swimming!
I am currently on the transplant list at the university of Penn, but as I am finding out just how important it is that I try to find myself a living donor! The kidney that comes from a live donor is a much healthier one,and will last much longer for me! Please if you are interested or know someone who is just give my info Christine Duncan 610-906-5885
Please share this information with everyone, it will give me a better shot of getting a kidney!
Thank you so much!
