My name is Gwendolyn Best. I’m a 42 year old single mom. I’m passionate about my family, seeing them grow up, and creating positive memories. I’ve been diagnosed and living with kidney failure for about three years. For the last three years, I’ve been on hemodialysis . I attend dialysis three days a week for four hours a day. The process is very exhausting and limits what I can do on most days. I am grateful for the dialysis because it is keeping me alive, however it is really hard on the body. Having kidney failure has limited a lot of the activities that I used to be able to do like being around friends, traveling, abd even some activities of daily living due to me not having any energy.

A transplant would mean a start of a new life for me. A fresh new start and opportunity for me to be able to continue to reside and be around for my family.
I’m hoping to find a caring person who wants to give the gift of life. By becoming a living donor, you can help me get my life back and help me to continue to raise my family and create new memories. All one would have to do is contact my coordinator, the process is extremely confidential, answer a few questions, and see if you’re a match. Thanks for stopping on my page and for sharing my story!☺️
