This is my dad! He is the most caring, adventurous, and nicest person anyone has ever met. He would literally give his shirt off his back for anyone that is in need. He has done a lifetime of service work and now in his retirement years, he would like to enjoy them. My dad and step-mom have traveled around the United States in the past 2 years and have seen some amazing sights. In keeping with my dad's positive attitude, I hope the memories shared will carry them through till he receives a new kidney. Then they can continue on enjoying their USA Tour! As he awaits a kidney the tour has been put on hold. Hopefully it's temporary , as we know a donor is out there.
My dad tries to stay in warmer climates as he gets colder quickly. He is also having a more restless sleep pattern due to the kidney failure.
Everything, he would have a second chance.
We are looking for a candidate for him, as I was not a match. I am willing be someone's else's though in hopes of a match for him. Being a living donor is quite literally the gift of life. A living donor kidney lasts longer, and he will not have to be on the waitlist or in a dialysis chair for a long duration.
