My name is Alina and I have kidney failure. I work for social services and have a passion for helping others. I'm a mother of 2 sons that are grownish. I was diagnosed with kidney issues in 2016 while doing a pre job physical. I was stable for years but now my kidneys are failing and this is why I'm asking for help.
In 2023 I had multiple health issues and things looked bleak for me. Things improved but my kidneys took a hit. I went from stage 3 to stage 5 in 4 months. While my numbers say one thing my body is doing another. I need a transplant in order to go back to living a full life. I'm currently dealing with a level of fatigue that is hard to describe. I wake up exhausted most days and need to take naps just to get through the day. It is hard for me to get out and just enjoy life. The littlest thing could cause my blood pressure to raise which would the affect my heart. I have to walk this fine balance.
I'm not on dialysis and would love to find a living donor before dialysis becomes my reality. A transplant will give me a new lease on life and more time with my family.
If you can't directly help, then I ask that you please share my story. Let's get this to as many people as possible in hopes to find my champion.
