DONALD WALKER SR

LIVING Kidney DONOR NEEDED

Hello my name is Donald and I have been living with kidney failure for three years now. I was diagnose in November of 2015 with this. The first few months was hard for me to learn how to deal with it, learning how to adjust to doing the dialysis and adjusting to a different type of life style. As time went on thimgs became a lot easier as i adjusted. I thank the Lord for giving me the strength to go on with living. With his grace I would have given up! I have made many changes to the way I live for the better and with the help from a good staff from my kidney doctors office and the love and support from my family I'm able to live a good life.

I never thought that I would ever have to be on dialysis! but unforeseen circumstances I'm now doing dialysis. I choose to dialysis at home which is called Peritoneal dialysis. I have a machine that I hook up to every night and the machine works its magic while I'm sleep. The only downfall I have is that when I travel I have to take the machine with me along with boxes of the solution along with me, which can be a challenge if you travel by air or bus! also the shipment of boxes of solution that I receive every month is a workout itself. Overall I'm just thankful that I can still enjoy most things I like to do!

I've been living with kidney disease for three year now without even thinking about asking anyone about donating, but now I've had time to really reflect on life I wish i would have done this from the beginning! So here I am today reaching out and asking family and friends to think about donating or helping me find a donor for a kidney for myself.
