LIVING Kidney DONOR NEEDED

My name is Daniel Holden I've had kidney failure for over 20 years and have been on dialysis for 4 years. My illness started when I was 29 years old when I was diagnosed with Valley Fever which has come with losing one lung numerous hospital stays and medications that were experimental at that time which has caused my kidney failure. Of course through out the years I have been blessed with my beautiful wife of 51 years whom has stood by my side through the good and the bad we have 5 grown children , 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. I have always believed in a happy positive attitude and we were able to teach my children the same. I am a Veteran of The United States Army to which I am proud to have served. This is where I contracted this disease that I have and also where I learned how to over come the many obstacles I have had to hurdle. I was told many years ago I wasn't a candidate for a kidney transplant but by the grace of god 4 years ago my doctors at the VA Hospital gave me the gift I never expected and that is I am now a Candidate for a Kidney Transplant which I was put on the list 4 years ago but now after waiting so many years and being on dialysis I am going down fast I am in need of Kidney Donor as soon as possible I have blood type 0+. Although I feel I have received many blessings in my life receiving a new kidney would be my true Miracle so that I am able to stand by wonderful wife and be able to enjoy our twilight years together. And to be able to continue to watch all my children grow.

Kidney Failure has effected all aspects of life for me. I am no longer able to enjoy or just do simple tasks that most people take for granted such just walking or just switching positions on the couch without the most unimaginable pain through out my entire body. I can't walk across the floor without having to stop to catch my breathe I am unable to breathe like a normal person anymore. Just to be able to walk beside my beautiful wife and stand by her side to watch our kids, grandkids and great grandkids do all the normal things like Graduations, Concerts, Football Games, Recitals ect… even being able to help my wife with household chores or grocery shopping. I've been sick since I was 29 years old taking medications, surgeries and treatments but my worst nightmare is not to be here for my wife of 51 years and my children.
