Betsy is my wife, she has polycystic kidney disease (PKD) and she needs a kidney transplant. I am writing this in the hope that we can reach a lot of people and find her a match. Betsy enjoys everyday life whether it's going to work, working outside in the yard, or decorating our house for the next holiday. She puts her touch on everything. She is the best wife anyone could hope for.
PKD is starting to take its toll on Betsy making her tire easily. Betsy was very active, but I've noticed she's had to slow down and she gets discouraged because she was able to be so active in the past and that makes me sad. We enjoy traveling, camping, or just simply going for a ride in the country. We enjoy spending time with our kids and grandkids.
I want her to get a transplant so she can get back to being active and not have this cloud over her head. I would give her one of my kidneys in a heartbeat (which I tried), but am unable to be a donor. I am asking you to please consider being a living donor and see if you're a match. Most people don't know that you have 2 kidneys but only need one kidney to live a long, healthy life. There is no cost to you as a donor. Please share this and let's find this special person a kidney!
