Julie Ann Castillo Needs A LIVING Kidney DONOR

My name is Girlie. I met Julie a few years ago through my HS friends. But it didn't take long until I felt like we've known each other longer. Our group of 6 is called "IronLaDears." Our friend Margaret coined that term for us, because like iron, we've all endured our share of challenges in life but remained strong. LaDears, because we're all near & dear to our hearts. And through thick and thin, we didn't disappear on each other.

Julie is one of the most positive person I know. Although she has known for years that she's had kidney disease, she didn't allow this to stop her from living life to the fullest. And of course, it does help to have a very supportive husband, Eph. Together, they love to travel the world, more so to the Philippines, since they both still have parents and families to visit. She's also one who is very compassionate & thoughtful. Despite of her own medical obstacles, she doesn't hesitate to help any family or friends who are also having difficulties in life. IronLaDears would always find any day & any reason just to be with each other; whether we're celebrating, being present to lend a shoulder to cry on for any of us facing a crisis or just to hang out to EAT and feel each other's presence.

However, the past few months have been the most trying times for Julie, since she had to go through kidney dialysis. Needless to say, we have and will be seeing less of her. It's not the same when we're not complete. They also had to cut their trip short last Christmas to the Philippines, thus were not able to spend quality time with their loved ones.

A transplant would mean better quality of life because she will gain freedom from dialysis, fewer restrictions on her activities and diet, increased feeling of well-being and energy level; and most of all we and her loved ones will be able to spend more time with her!

She needs a donor badly and we can all help by sharing this story through all the platforms of social media and by spreading her story with your families and circle of friends.
Thank You!

"Heal me O Lord, and I shall be healed; Save me O Lord, and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise." - Jeremiah 17:14
