Skylar Strong

LIVING Kidney DONOR NEEDED

I'm still kicking it one way or another!!😊

Hello,

My name is Skylar Strong I am 20 yrs old and attending Walters State Community College to become a pastry arts chef. I am in training on how to decorate cakes and other delicious foods. About a year and a half a ago I was diagnosed with stage 5 chronic renal failure.

My kidney failure effects my daily living due to the fact I have to hook up on my dialysis machine for nine hours and twenty minutes a night. This means I miss out on doing activities others get to do like staying out late going to the movies and ECT...Having kidney failures means watching literally everything I go to eat or drink just because it can effect how I feel that moment to hours later. Being in renal failure means taking different amount of medicine at a time to if I am around other people I feel embarrassed that I have to do so. I miss the days that I didnt have to worry about if I hook up on time that id make it to my classes on time. Reciving a transplant would mean the world to me , it means I could go back to hanging out with family and friends. It would also mean that I can achive my dreams .

I am hoping to recive from a living donner due to UK transpla2 list for me is 3-6 yrs
UNC is 3-7 yrs and Vanderbilt 2- 5 yrs before I could recive a kidney. We ask people of any kind with o+ to be tested or do a cross match.
