Hello,
Let me introduce myself, my name is Penny Elmer, and I have been a devoted wife to my husband John since 1989. I was diagnosed with kidney failure many years ago and I am now in stage 5 kidney failure. Unfortunately, over time my kidney disease has continued to progress to the extent that I will need a kidney transplant. I had to start dialysis in March of 2025, which is a daily 9+ hour process I do right in my home.
I've been a Pharmacy Technician for 43 years, a job I truly enjoyed but unfortunately had to retire this past November due to the fact it became a hardship on my body. I could no longer endure the swelling, fatigue and dizziness. I still love life and have a positive attitude going through this but I'm very limited on the activities I enjoy.
I look forward to the day that I can get my normal life back. I dream of the day when I might jump in the lake or a cool pool on a hot day. I'd like to go camping or on a vacation with my husband or the girls and not have to be connected to a machine for 9 hours a day.
I am currently on the waiting list for a deceased donor kidney, but it could take years to get a match. I am in search of a doner and I'm humbly asking if you could assist in helping me. Please consider getting tested or share this information with your family and friends so I can continue to fulfill my dreams and live a long and happy life. I would be forever grateful.
My warmest regards and God bless,
Penny L Elmer
