Gregory Mazzoni Needs A LIVING Kidney DONOR

PLease help Greg, so he can help others

Greg is my brother-in-law for 25 years. Greg is a huge family man and loves all of his family so much. Greg has so much integrity and is so generous with his time and money. He always is interested in what you have to say and will do anything for you.
Greg and I enjoy talking about music, sports of all kinds, and family. Greg dedicated his life as a teacher and in a school system of boys and girls that came from very troubled backgrounds. That takes a SPECIAL person to do such a job for over 30 years.
Greg enjoys every minute of life and tries to live life to the fullest.

Yes.... I see him not doing all the things he loves to do. His medical condition obviously has been on his mind everyday and is very worried about what might take place. I can relate to this as I am fighting cancer everyday, but Greg and I are strong people with great attitudes and we take one day at a time.
Greg's situation is in God's hands and hopefully he will have the opportunity to recieve a
kidney and continue his journey in helping other people.

With a transplant, it will give Greg the chance to help other people facing the challenages Greg faces. Knowing Greg, he will pour his time into helping other people with kindney problems.

I will do my part to spread the word about a living donor......

There are currently 120,000 people waiting for a lifesaving organ transplant in the U.S. Of these, 100,000 await kidney transplants.

The median wait time for a kidney transplant is 3-5 years and can vary depending on health, compatibility, and where you live.

In 2014, 17,107 kidney transplants took place in the U.S. Of these, 11,570 came from deceased donors and 5,537 came from living donors.

Every 14 minutes someone is added to the kidney transplant waitlist.

A kidney from a living donor lasts longer and begins functioning more quickly than a kidney from a deceased donor.

In 1995, kidney donation became minimally invasive with a procedure called laparoscopic nephrectomy, which only requires four small incisions. Hospital stay is typically only 3 days after this operation.

Not blood type compatible with your recipient to be a living donor? Kidney Paired Donation (the “kidney swap” program) enables incompatible candidates with a living donor to receive a kidney from a compatible donor.

Last year, over 700 living donor kidney transplants occurred using Kidney Paired Donation.
