Julie Ann Castillo Needs A LIVING Kidney DONOR

Julie Ann is a very energetic lady as far as I know. We both love sports. We played volleyball. We are team mates. We joined sports events in our place. We both also love reaching out to people who needs help. Not necessarily financial or material but our presence is enough to cheer up. She has a big heart and ready to lend a hand always. Nevet hesitating to help on any way. She can always count on her.

Definitely Yes, because of limited activities. She needs to be aware of what shes doing, eating and needs to be extra careful of her health. A transplant will mean to her a huge impact and meaning. For the world because she is a dentis and I believe she is needed. To her husband, to her family, to her relatives and to her friends. If a transplant will be done she will be back to her world and the world around her which her love to people and her passion to help others because God loves her first.

There are currently 120,000 people waiting for a lifesaving organ transplant in the U.S. Of these, 100,000 await kidney transplants.

The median wait time for a kidney transplant is 3-5 years and can vary depending on health, compatibility, and where you live.

In 2014, 17,107 kidney transplants took place in the U.S. Of these, 11,570 came from deceased donors and 5,537 came from living donors.

Every 14 minutes someone is added to the kidney transplant waitlist.

A kidney from a living donor lasts longer and begins functioning more quickly than a kidney from a deceased donor.

In 1995, kidney donation became minimally invasive with a procedure called laparoscopic nephrectomy, which only requires four small incisions. Hospital stay is typically only 3 days after this operation.
