LIVING Kidney DONOR NEEDED

“...the only way to get a thing done is to start to do it, then keep on doing it, and finally you'll finish it,....” -Langston Hughes

My name is Jason. I am passionate about being a loving husband to my wife and enjoying the time that we have on this earth with her. I wish to explore as much of the world as possible with my wife and pray to one day father a child into this world as well. I was diagnosed with kidney failure in November of 2021 but have suffered with chronic kidney disease since 2016.

Well, like I said before, I have been diagnosed with end stage renal disease since November of 2021. My daily routine consists of home peritoneal dialysis for about 9 1/2 hours for 7 days. I start my day by sanitizing, unhooking from the machine, jotting down my numbers and vitals. I go to work for 8 to 11 hours, come back home, sanitize and hook up again. In between that, there are clinic and doctor visits for lab draws and supply deliveries once per month. I've been truly blessed to have a work schedule that allows me to shift days around so that I am off Monday and Tuesday for those appointments and monthly delivery.

A transplant to me would mean a new chance at life doing it the right way. These treatments are life sustaining and I am so appreciative of them because they keep me from feeling sick. However, it is not an end all because there are processes that even this device and medication cannot substitute and that is a functioning kidney. Some things in life are taken for granted and they are not truly missed until they are no more.

I am making a call to action for someone who is willing to be a donor. The process is confidential, and you can reach out to the donor app in order to get started. Be the person that gives someone else another chance at a healthy natural life.
