Hi, my name is Jamya, and I am hoping to find a kidney donor.
Chronic Kidney Disease is a problem that I have been dealing with since I turned 16. I found out my kidney disease was progressing to the extent that I would need a kidney transplant. The effects and treatment required has taken a toll on my life and has been a constant stress on my mind, body and soul.
For the past 3-4 years I’ve had frequent hospital and doctor visits and started dialysis while also still trying to support myself and my family. This heavy schedule often leaves me feeling tired. It has had a major negative impact on my ability to work to take care of myself and makes it difficult to do things I enjoy. I like to spend time with my family, and I would like to finish school to get my degree. I love to travel with my family and friends and create everlasting memories
I look forward to the day that I can get my normal life back. It would truly be a blessing to be able to go back to school and live the college experience I always looked forward to before things changed. I'd also like be able to take planned trips with my family and enjoy life without constant concerns for my health.
I am on the waiting list for a kidney, however, that can often take years to get a match. I am really hoping to find a living donor because it can improve the quality of my life with my family and friends. I would be truly grateful if you could help me find a match by getting tested or sharing this information with your own network of family, friends and community.
I thank and appreciate you,
Jamya
