My name is Martha ireland and ived been living with lupus since 1990. In the past couple of years my kidneys began to fail. at first it was just the numbers in the analysis of my blood that showed any changes, then I began to feel so tired, I couldn’t function, my body has stopped making red blood cells, because of my kidney failure and I have to get shots and transfusion s frequently to stay alive. I never feel normal, I’m always very tired, some days I can function and some days I can’t, in addition to the terrible fatigue I feel bad all the time. The food I used to enjoy , I don’t anymoreall because my kidneys don’t work any more. I am a mother and grandmother. I love my family and friends and I want to be able to spend time with them and enjoy their company. I love plants and I want to be able and work in my garden. I have wonderful friend and I want and I want to to be able to spend time with them and enjoy their company. Dialysis might be able to keep me alive for now, but I don’t just want to be alive, I want to Live.
