Renee Tanner

Looking for an able bodied person to donate a kidney.

My name is Renee Tanner. I am a 61 year old retired electrician who has survived breast cancer 2006, a stroke 2014, a heart transplant 2014 and now I await a kidney.

I have been on dialysis for 18 months now. I do peritoneal dialysis so it hasn't affected my life too much. The hardest part is transporting the cycler. You see between March and October I travel around the country. Vacationing. I lost my husband in 2016. Since he is gone I try to see the country.

Freedom! I watch my 18 month old grandson every other week in Lake Anna, Virginia. The other week I was caring for my bed ridden father. He passed in January of 2021. Now I look after my elderly mom.

I am asking in faith if anyone out there has a kidney to spare. It would mean so much to my family if I could shed this cumbersome machine and travel freely between St. Mary's County, Md, Louisa , Virginia and Baltimore, Md.
