I have known Julie & friends with her since the mid 90s, our college days, she was a volleyball varsity player, she was a strong player, got all energy a real varsity player qualification. She is a very kind, truly humble person and very jolly. She has lived a healthy life back then, migrated to the United States shortly after graduation and was still in good health, worked her way up to success with her equally kind husbanduntil her illness struck her and slowly her good health started deteriorating due to her now chronic renal failure.
She has changed her diet very strictly, she can no longer simply enjoy any kind of food without restriction. A transplant will definitely help her in all ways, the procedure will help get her happy & peaceful life back. I am a wife of a kidney transplant patient, my husband was on dialysis for 9yrs., was on transplant for almost 4 yrs., hoped each day to get that miracle call from the transplant group from Denver, CO until one Sunday morning, he received a call and was given a heads up to get himself ready as they will be calling back anytime soon (no specific date/time given) as they were expecting an organ to arrive. By the grace of our good Lord, at 4pm that same day, the Coordinator called and said “ROY YOU BETTER GET HERE BY TOMORROW MORNING, THE TRANSPLANT SURGICAL PROCEDURE HAS BEEN ARRANGED AND THE TEAM IS READY FOR YOU” as due to its urgency and no flight out of Bozeman, MT that night, he headed out at 8p, drove himself all the way to Denver, CO. The procedure was successfully done, he stayed for 2wks. in the hospital and a month in the hospital’s hospitality place. The kidney has been working great for almost 5yrs. (by May 23rd) and my husband has been enjoying a normal life he was deprived of for 9yrs. notwithstanding his other medical illnesses but because of his strong faith to live, he is doing good, as good as he can be, each day that passes by.
I shared her post on social media and been talking to friends about Julie’s condition, hoping for the best to find a good hearted person to be a donor for her. As I was supposed to be a donor back when my husband was looking for one, although we were not a good match due to racial differences but I insisted to offer mine in exchange of his kidney match which the transplant group considered so paperworks began along with initial phone interview but for some reason, the transplant group back then had a revamp on their organization that they put on hold their charity transplant procedure for months or a year but unfortunately, I was eventually diagnosed with stage 1 cancer so I was rejected when the group resumed their operation and never will be, inasmuch as I wanted to be of help to Julie now.
